38 gameweeks, one pick each. TopGaffer turns the whole Premier League season into a resource-management puzzle — pick the winner you back each week, but spend your teams wisely, because you can't lean on the same club forever.
The rules, in three lines
- One pick per gameweek. Back a single team to win one match each gameweek — 38 picks across the season.
- Max three uses per club. Ride Man City's form and you'll run out of uses before May. Every pick spends a limited resource.
- Use every team at least once. All 20 clubs must feature in your season. Never pick Burnley? That'll cost you points.
Why it's harder than it sounds
An accumulator lets you back the favourite every week. TopGaffer won't. With only three uses per club and a duty to field all twenty, you're constantly trading this week's safe pick against a fixture you'll regret not saving them for. Bank the big six too early and you'll be forced onto relegation six-pointers in the run-in.
And you can only pick up to three gameweeks ahead — no filling in the whole season in August and forgetting about it. Come back each week, read the fixtures, spend your teams.
Scoring
Win +3, draw +1, lose 0 — scored on the 90-minute result of the match you picked. Ties on points break on goal difference, then goals for, then goals against. Leave a club unused and you lose points at season's end.
